In California, they say “brada”.  At CaveChow, we say broCKA.  As in brocolli that’s almost unbelievably high in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and Vitamin A.  And as David slew Goliath, so brocolli slays cancer.  If you had to send a single guy out to fight a group of 20+, you would send brocolli.  It’s notorious in health circles for good reason.

Let’s put these little green marshan vegetables on the grindstone.

NUTRITION – 5 stars

  • Kill, kill, kill.  This is the U.S. Marine Corps version of your typical cancer fighter.  Against many, many cancers.
  • 1 cup provides more than 100% of your DV for Vitamins C, K, and almost A
  • The antioxidants provided from broccoli act as very effective cleansers and detoxifiers for your body
  • Reduce the risk of skin cancer from too much sun by quickly repairing burnt, damaged skin
  • Helps you with stronger bones, protects heart health, and is even said to help prevent birth defects
  • There are so many more but I am simply exhausted from trying to process and communicate them all

SIMPLICTY – 4 stars

  • If you’re extremely cave, broccoli is very simple.  Just buy it and chew on it raw (the best way to consume)
  • Very easy to boil, or toss in some stir fry (though it is advised you eat raw to get maximum nutritional value)

AFFORDABLE – 4 stars

  • This almost gets 5 stars in California, but sometimes it costs more than our $1/pound standard, thus the 4
  • Regardless – not expensive, and an absolute necessity for you and yours

In summary, we are quite exhausted and tired of reading and writing about all of these benefits.  Just eating broccoli is much more simple.
